If your holiday spot isn’t listed, perhaps because it lies on the Caribbean main land, or if you have further questions, please contact and we will send you the information you need as soon as possible. If you notice during your vacation anything differing from the infos given here, please inform us so that we can update. Comments concerning euthanasia, based on statements of the organizations, are no criticism: Caribbean animal welfare groups are small, lack means and face tremendous animal suffering. In many places humane euthanasia is still a privilege! However, the tourist saving an animal clearly wants it to survive. The best way to ensure that is to cover the cost of the rescue till adoption. Even if a shelter is overcrowded it may be possible to find foster parents, once the means are there!

I Love My Island Dog Association has a small shelter with very limited capacities. Opening hours: Monday – Saturday 4 pm – 6 pm
The association asks tourists that find a seemingly homeless animal to photograph it prior to contacting the organization to eclude already known animals that their owner just let run loose. In case of overcrowding the association is forced according to own statement to hand animals over to the communal killing pound. In case of adoptions the association will assist with the export/import formalities.
